Thing One is feeling her age this morning. She had surgery yesterday to remove some worrisome lumps (look benign, but waiting for final path report) that come up this summer. As a recent anesthetized patient myself, I can agree with her that it really makes you feel older than you felt the day before surgery.
She still wanted to go for a walk this morning, even if it was more dawdling than normal. She waited patiently for me to finish my apple so she could have core, but was a bit sluggish in its consumption. When Thing Two comes over to give her incisions a sniff, she lets him know that she will still eat his face off just at a more leisurely pace. The only real speed she showed was to the truck. I will know there is really something wrong if she does not race to the truck, because "shotgun" always goes to the first one there. Thing One is always first.
